What we do
One partner for customs, tax and product compliance

Every obligation a non-established business faces at the UK or EU border — handled under one roof, by one accountable team.

Importer of record (IOR)

We act as your UK and EU Importer of Record — assuming customs liability and clearing your goods into Britain and all 27 EU member states without a local entity.

Exporter of Record (EOR)

We act as the legal exporter of record for goods leaving the UK or EU — managing export declarations, licences and dual-use compliance.

Indirect Customs Representative

Acting under Article 18 UCC and HMRC provisions, we represent non-established importers — assuming joint and several liability so you can trade without a local entity.

Authorised Representative (AR)

Mandatory for non-EU/UK manufacturers placing CE or UKCA-marked products on the market. We hold your technical file and sign the Declaration of Conformity.

GPSR Responsible Person

We act as your named EU Responsible Person under the General Product Safety Regulation — providing the details marketplaces verify, holding your compliance documentation and handling authority contact.

VAT Registration

We manage VAT registration in the UK and across EU member states for non-established businesses — so your imports, sales and stock movements are taxed correctly.

EORI Registration

An EORI number is mandatory before any goods can cross a UK or EU border. We manage applications with HMRC and EU national customs authorities.

FBO Compliance

We act as your Food Business Operator for Great Britain and the EU — named on your labels, registered with the authorities and answerable to them, so your food and supplements can be sold on both markets.

EPR Compliance

For businesses placing packaging, WEEE, batteries or textiles on the UK or EU market. We manage PRO registration, data reporting and fee compliance.

How it works
From first call to first shipment
Step 01
Scoping call

Tell us your product, markets and timeline. We map every obligation that applies — and nothing that doesn't.

Step 02
Proposal & onboarding

A fixed-fee proposal and a short document pack. Most clients are onboarded within 24 hours.

Step 03
Registrations & setup

We put everything in place to trade — from IOR and representation mandates to any registrations your products and markets require.

Step 04
Trade & stay compliant

We act as your IOR or representative shipment after shipment, and keep you ahead of regulatory change.

Client outcomes
Trusted by businesses worldwide

"We ship into Germany but have no entity there, so our forwarder couldn't act as indirect representative. flexfrontier took on the liability, sorted our EORI position, and now our shipments just clear. Genuinely took the stress out of it."

DR
Daniel R.
Export Manager, US specialty chemicals

"Amazon suppressed our listings overnight because we had no UK Responsible Person. flexfrontier turned it around in a few days — details on the listings, documentation checked, and we were selling again. Fast and no jargon."

PK
Priya K.
Founder, homeware brand

"Post-Brexit, importing our own stock into the EU became a nightmare of paperwork. flexfrontier act as our Importer of Record across the EU, so our orders land in the Netherlands and ship out same-week. Wish we'd found them sooner."
