About flexfrontier
The partner on the other side of the border

flexfrontier exists for one reason: international businesses shouldn't need a local company to trade compliantly with the United Kingdom and the European Union. We become your legal presence at the border — and take the liability that comes with it.

Why we exist

Brexit split one market into two. The GPSR, EPR reform and a decade of regulatory expansion then multiplied the number of locally established parties a single product needs — an importer here, a Responsible Person there, registrations in every country of sale. The businesses caught in the middle are the world's manufacturers and brands: companies with excellent products and no UK or EU entity, facing customers who expect delivered-duty-paid and platforms that verify compliance before a listing goes live.

The traditional supply chain never solved this. Freight forwarders move goods but refuse the legal roles; law firms advise but don't operate; setting up subsidiaries costs more than most trade flows justify. flexfrontier was built to be the missing party: the locally established, professionally accountable entity that stands on the declaration, on the label and in the registers — so international businesses can trade as if they were local, without becoming local.

What we do

We provide the complete set of legal roles and registrations that UK and EU trade demands: Importer of Record and Exporter of Record, indirect customs representation under Article 18 UCC and HMRC's rules, Authorised Representative for CE and UKCA products, GPSR Responsible Person, UK Food Business Operator, and the VAT, EORI and EPR registrations underneath — across the United Kingdom and all 27 EU member states, under one agreement.

How we work

We take real liability, deliberately. When we act as your importer or representative, we are named on the declaration and carry the customs debt — which is exactly why our onboarding includes genuine compliance vetting. The declaration we sign is one we are prepared to defend.

We check before goods move, not after they're stopped. Classification, valuation, origin, conformity documentation, registrations — verified up front, because a container held at Rotterdam costs more per day than compliance ever does.

We tell you what you don't need. Regulatory scope creep is real; so is over-registration. We map the obligations your flows actually trigger and skip the rest — and where a product needs structures we don't provide, we say so on day one.

One accountable contact. Customs, product law, tax and environmental registrations are usually four vendors pointing at each other. Here they are one team, one agreement, one answer.

Why businesses choose flexfrontier
Built for the roles others refuse

12+ years of expertise

Customs & regulatory, both markets

Deep, practical knowledge of UK and EU market entry — the classification calls, valuation questions and country-specific quirks that keep shipments moving and audits short.

28+ countries, one agreement

UK + EU under a single contract

The United Kingdom and all 27 EU member states covered through one engagement and one point of contact — no patchwork of national vendors to manage.

Liability genuinely assumed

Named on the declaration

We are the declarant, the representative, the registered party — carrying the legal exposure those roles bring, not an agent-only arrangement that leaves the risk with you.

The full stack in-house

Customs · product law · tax · EPR

Importer of Record through EPR registration under one roof, so admissibility is checked before goods ship and nothing falls between vendors.

Speed when it matters

Onboarding from 24 hours

Urgent first shipments, stuck consignments and marketplace deadlines are routine — many client relationships start with one shipment that couldn't wait.

Straight answers

Same-day quotations, honest scope

Itemised pricing, realistic timelines, and a clear "no" where a product can't be made compliant — before you print labels or ship stock, not after.
